I put a lot of time and energy into making my Yoga playlists, and I am thrilled that so many people have enjoyed my taste. Hearing music during class allows you to get lost in your body, out of your head. Maybe a particular song will help you conjure up a great memory. Maybe you will find a rhythm that makes you relax into your practice and feel even more present.
When I was young and trying to figure out “what I want to be when I grow up,” I always came back to one thought: Whatever I do, there needs to be music playing.
Both my parents are huge music lovers, so growing up there was always music playing in my home. Very early on I developed a real appreciation for how music can touch you deeply and help create an environment where you can be your best self.
